This is a recipe I came up with over the course of 3 months working in the current institution I’m placed in. It was a huge hit tonight, everything finally came together. This Recipe yields enough for 8 people, give or take.
For this recipe you will need:
- 1 cube beef bouillon
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 bottle BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 cup water
- 2tbsp dill weed
- 2tbsp seasoned salt
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 2 packages of stew beef, chopped
- 3 green peppers, chopped
Add bouillon, water, honey, and BBQ sauce to crock pot. Mix in sesame, brown sugar, dillweed and seasoned salt. This should make a thin sauce.
Add chopped meat, green peppers, and garlic to the sauce in the crock pot.
Make sure the sauce covers the meat and vegetables. On medium setting, this should take only 4-6 hours depending on how you’d like your meat cooked.
Stir every few hours if you can, adding small amounts of water if the mixture looks too dry. Adding flour if you find it to be too watery.
Serve over a bed of rice or noodles! Goes great with herbed or jasmine rice.
